September Seminar

It is a great pleasure to announce this seminar exploring the nature of Interdisciplinary Research Discourse, to be held at the University of Birmingham on 22nd September 2014. This is the first of two seminars, presenting the interim findings of our project designed to investigate the language of research articles written in interdisciplinary fields. The second seminar will be held in June 2015, when the final results of the research project will be presented.

The seminar will consist of 4 presentations discussing the linguistic features, citation practices and the perceptions of interdisciplinary discourse. There will be ample opportunities for discussion of the findings and their potential impact.
